Space Apps is an international hackathon that occurs over 48 hours in cities around the world. Because of citizens like you, we continue to grow each year. If you haven't already, join us to share ideas and engage with open data to address real-world problems, on Earth and in space. Solve challenges that could help change the world.
Space Apps participants will create solutions to mission-related challenges broken into six categories: Aeronautics, International Space Station, Solar System & Beyond, Technology, Earth and the Journey to Mars.
Wuerzburg will be host to the NASA Space Apps Challenge for the first time in Bavaria. The event will take place from April 22nd to 24th at the Julius Maximilian University in Wurzburg.
The Space Apps Challenge will start with a Bootcamp - a warm up before we really start to work. Bootcamp will include presentations, tutorials and some simple challenges in the spirit of the hackathon to follow. The attendees will try to solve these problems with available tools and help from mentors.
The schedule and list of speakers for Bootcamp will be published soon. Take note that this is an optional event and open to the public, you do not have to be an official Space Apps participant. To attend, do RSVP on this website! It is different from the Space Apps Challenge website registration, which is mandatory for those interested in participating in the official NASA Space Apps Challenge.
